Sapporo Dome

One of Japan’s largest oval stadiums built in 2001, this 43,000-person stadium is the home to J-league football club Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo. Irregular games are held between March and December. Days without games and events, visitors can take guided tours and climb up a rooftop observatory overlooking the stadium and the city.

Sapporo Hitsujigaoka Observation Hill

10min by bus from Fukuzumi Station


Situated on the agricultural research center about 10km south of the center, Hitsujigaoka offers picture-postcard views of the hill and the idyllic sheep farm backed by the city. The Statue of Dr William Smith Clark, the first president of Sapporo Agricultural College, is the most popular photo spot here. It also has Sapporo Snow Festival Museum, a food court and a souvenir shop.

Originally home to Hokkaido’s forest product research institute, this 7.4-hectare park winds around conifer forest, flower and botanical gardens. There is also a swimming pool. The park is directly connected to Toyohira-koen Subway Station.

SUBWAY
