Hotels in Northern Hokkaido, Asahikawa & Furano

Asahikawa & Daisetsuzan

Asahikawa has a number of business hotels, mostly on the north side of the train station. There are plenty of resort hotels in Sounkyo Onsen and Asahidake Onsen.

Furano, Biei & Tomamu

There are many smallish pensions and guesthouses dotted around the rural areas. Furano has a spread of hotels near the ski area. Tomamu’s high-rise resort hotels exude a handsome feel with family-oriented rooms.

Soya & Wakkanai

Wakkanai’s most hotels are within easy walking distance from the train station. About half of accommodation in Rishiri-to and Rebun-to are closed in winter.
