A pleasant riverside setting, Toyokoro (豊頃) is a quiet gateway of the Tokachi-kaigan. The coastal area has become a prime destination for local anglers, countless fishing rods stand on the sandy beaches and fishing ports. In winter, photogenic ‘jewelry ice’ washes onto Otsu.
