Shibetsu (標津) is the main gateway of Eastern Shiretoko. Odaito (尾岱沼) is a small but lively fishing village on the western shores of the pleasant Notsuke Bay and serves as the cruise access point to the Notsuke Peninsula.

A few minutes’ walk to Odaito fishing port, Utaseya prides itself on having local seafood from the Notsuke Bay, such as Hokkai shimaebi (shrimp), hotate (scallops), asari (clams) and salmon. Rooms are a mix of Japanese- and Western-style. There is an small onsen and bike rental for guests. Look for the sign on the street to the port.
