Tokachi & Obihiro

Obihiro has a usual range of hotels around the train station. There are several hotels with 100% free-flowing onsen in Nukabira Gensenkyo and Tokachigawa Onsen.

Kushiro

Kushiro has plenty of hotels in the station area and around Nusamai-bashi. Kiritappu has friendly ryokan, pensions and minshuku, mostly runs guided services and canoe tours.

Nemuro

Nemuro Region has plenty of sleeping options, while rustic areas have onsen. It is a perfect place for footpath hiking, wildlife cruising and birdwatching.

Akan-Mashu National Park

Akanko Onsen and Kussharo-kohan has a wide variety of hotels, many of which are lined up along the shore. There are 100% free-flowing onsen in Kawayu.

Shiretoko

Western Shiretoko’s onsen resort, Utoro has plenty of sleeping options. There are loads of accommodation in Rausu, Shari and Kiyosato.

Okhotsk & Abashiri

There are a number of sleeping options in Abashiri and Kitami. Several good onsen can be found in Engaru.
