Travel by Local Train: Fukuoka (Hakata) – Kagoshima

kumamoto, coast, natural-2379030.jpg

Kokura (Kitakyushu) / Hakata (Fukuoka) to Kagoshima-chuo by local train on Kyushu’s main conventional line along the Ariake Sea. Why don’t you take a side trip from Kagoshima to Makurazaki, the southernmost terminus on the JR line? We also recommend taking the night ferry from Kagoshima to Yakushima Island.

Yatsushiro – Hitoyoshi – Yoshimatsu on the JR Hisatsu Line has been out of service for a long time due to flood damage. The highway bus “B&S Miyazaki” runs from Shin-Yatsushiro Station to Hitoyoshi IC and Ebino IC.
